23rd San Diego Latino Film Festival Poster Competition 2016

Media Arts Center San Diego, producer of the upcoming 23rd annual San Diego Latino Film Festival (March 10-20, 2016), is thrilled to announce its long-running Poster Design Competition. This is your opportunity to create an iconic and timeless image that will be used in all of the festival’s marketing and promotional materials. We are looking for submissions from local, stateside, and international artists. More information below!
Who can participate?
All forms of artwork are encouraged: still photography, paint, graphic design, etc.
Things that we are looking for in a winning poster:
The winning poster will successfully represent celebration, nuestra cultura, film and community. Additionally, the judges will be looking for entries that have strong aesthetics, symbology, transcendence, and functionality (program book, ads, social media, animation and tv spots!)
How to enter?
Artwork can be uploaded at http://postercompetition.kintera.org/2016 (Up 3 files at a time on this site – The maximum allowed file size is 4 Megabytes.)

October 1st, 2015
The format of entry (for submission purposes only):
Digital Format in in JPG format, Size: 11×17 at 150 dpi., RGB JPEG
When submitting artwork please include Artist Name at the beginning followed by the name of the poster in your file name.
Example: Name_postername01.jpg
Artwork without these details will not be considered.
And if you are the winner!
We need the full art in its original file (Original artwork should be: 18×22″, 300 DPI, CMYK, Adobe Photoshop in layers or in vectors in case of Illustrator, as well the font that was used in the same document. If the font was created, our team will handle the best way to use another typography that goes accordingly to the art)
What will the selection process look like?
A panel of distinguished judges (composed of artists, graphic designers, and arts educators) will vote on the winning poster and finalists.
Prize:
Top Prize: $1,000 and Spotlight at San Diego Latino Film Festival.
10 Finalists – 2 tickets to San Diego Latino Film Festival
Ten Finalists to be announced by October 31, 2015. The winner will announced at annual SDLFF Poster Announcement Party in Winter 2015.
