平面幸福－启迪人心的荷兰设计
“平面幸福”巡回展是一场全面回顾荷兰平面设计百年历史的视觉盛宴。倍感荣幸能借此机会与中国观众分享这四十余位荷兰设计师的精选作品，其中包括荷兰平面设计界代表人物的经典之作，以及二十四个以个展形式呈现的当代设计师（工作室）的杰出成就。整个展览在展示荷兰平面设计发展历程的同时，突显出荷兰平面设计的美感与社会意义。

希望这些丰富多彩、愉悦人心的作品，能让中国观众了解荷兰设计师如何保持在玩乐的状态下进行探索与研究。这样的方式所产生的作品往往极具创造力，荷兰设计师并不局限于平面设计范畴，而是大胆涉足与挑战艺术、广告以及研究领域，从而开辟出一个无所不能的创作空间。

荷兰设计师展现出以下两个鲜明的特点：一是他们有足够的勇气去坚持自己的兴趣爱好，二是他们能够打破常规，注重设计过程而非结果。“平面幸福”巡回展创造出这个千载难逢的机会，让观众们与荷兰设计师一起自由而欢快地遨游与探索在摄影、电影、书籍设计、插画、装置、交互设计等诸多领域。

“十年铸成一个大业，百年成就一个经典！”希望这份百年的平面幸福将又一次激发起中荷平面设计“百家争鸣”的繁荣景象。

Graphic Happiness - inspiring dutch design
The travelling exhibition Graphic Happiness brings an extensive overview of 100 years of Dutch Graphic Design. It is our pleasure to bring a selection of over 40 Dutch designers to China. In an overview of historic Dutch design icons and 24 solo presentations of contemporary designers. By doing so, the exhibition shows both history and growth of Dutch graphic design, while also highlighting its beauty and social relevance.

We hope these colourful and joyful works will also reveal a part of what triggers and enables Dutch designers to explore and research in such playful modes: the Dutch famous design practices that often result in grand, ground-breaking and boundless designs. Because, liberated from the boundaries of graphic design itself, these practises also employ the methods of the fields of art, advertising and research. It is a liberation that opens up to a realm of possibilities.
 
The designers show two strong elements: one is the guts to be head-strong in holding on to their own fascination, the other is their ability to extend the boundaries of the practice, by thinking in process rather than outcome. The result of these can be experienced in Graphic Happiness: liberated and playful explorations into many directions such as photography, film, object-design, publishing, architecture, illustration and interaction design.

As the saying goes, a decade makes a cause and a century a classic. Hopefully, this centennial graphic happiness will render graphic design in both countries more competitive and thriving.
